I've never understood the worry about being pipped to the post with a research idea. I can see it might be frustrating if you've spent 2 years in a lab, but mostly I get to work with other people on something specific to the time and place. I used to joke that I get five ideas a day and 2 are bad, 2 are wrong and 1 is worth pursuing. The trouble is spotting them. So I make no guarantees about the ones I'm blogging here, but I'd be happy to discuss them with anyone. Or just use them well.

Has anyone done any research on:
Whether presentations on time management run to time?
Whether there is evidence that evidence based policy works any better than any other kind?
